By accessing this website or the CorroNexus engineering platform, a visitor agrees to the terms set out below. These terms define permitted use, intellectual-property ownership, the limits of what CorroNexus tools are intended for, and the boundaries of liability that apply to their use.

Last updated · April 2026 (v2)

01Acceptance

By using this website (corronexus.com, including any subdomain or path) or any gated tool offered on the CorroNexus engineering platform, a visitor and any authorised user accepts these terms of use in full. A visitor who does not accept the terms should not use the website or the platform.

02Nature of the service

CorroNexus is an independent engineering practice offering three categories of service: quantitative screening and assessment tools delivered through a gated web platform; specialist corrosion-engineering engagements delivered as structured reports with senior sign-off; and digital-transformation capabilities for asset integrity programmes. The services are directed at qualified engineering professionals working on oil and gas fixed equipment and related industrial assets.

The content, tools, and outputs offered through the CorroNexus website and platform are screening-level engineering indicators intended to support the professional judgement of a responsible integrity engineer. They are not a substitute for that judgement, for independent verification, or for the authoritative guidance of the published standards in their current editions.

No part of this website or platform issues a certification, conformity statement, or compliance declarationunder any published standard, regulatory regime, or industry scheme. Tool outputs are engineering indicators only; they do not, and cannot, constitute evidence of compliance with API, AMPP, ASME, ISO, or any other body's published requirements. Authoritative guidance must be obtained directly from the standards bodies responsible for the relevant documents.

03Gated access and acceptable use

Access to CorroNexus engineering tools is granted only to authorised users under scoped, time-bounded credentials. Authorised users agree to the following acceptable-use conditions:

  • No scraping. The contents of the Damage Mechanism Library, the NH₄HS Verdict engine, any CorroNexus screening engine, and any other platform tool may not be scraped, automated-crawled, harvested, mirrored, extracted in bulk, or programmatically aggregated by any means.
  • No reverse-engineering. Users may not attempt to decompile, disassemble, decrypt, unpack, or otherwise reverse-engineer any tool, dataset, calibration coefficient, decision tree, effectiveness matrix, verification register, or proprietary methodology made available through the platform.
  • No AI-training use. Users may not train, fine-tune, or otherwise incorporate any CorroNexus output, reference text, illustration, decision logic, or data array into any machine-learning model, dataset, or artificial-intelligence system without prior written permission.
  • No redistribution. Tool content, outputs, reference text, SVG illustrations, decision logic, and platform interface elements may not be redistributed, resold, sublicensed, or incorporated into third-party products without prior written permission.
  • No credential sharing. Access credentials are personal to the authorised user and may not be shared with third parties. CorroNexus may suspend or revoke credentials observed to be shared, used from multiple concurrent locations, or used in any pattern consistent with account sharing.
  • No misuse of outputs. Tool outputs are engineering indicators and may not be used in any way that misrepresents them as conforming certifications, compliance statements, endorsed results, or regulatory filings.
  • No automated tooling without permission. Browser-automation frameworks, headless browsers, and scripted request patterns are not permitted without prior written authorisation, which will be considered on reasonable request for legitimate research purposes.

Breach of any acceptable-use condition entitles CorroNexus to suspend or revoke access immediately and without notice, and to seek injunctive relief and damages under applicable intellectual-property law.

04Intellectual property

All content on this website and within the CorroNexus engineering platform — including original text, illustrations, datasets, code, component architecture, decision logic, methodologies, visual design, and the CorroNexus name and logo — is the intellectual property of CorroNexus and is protected under applicable copyright, database-right, and trade-mark law.

Specifically identified as proprietary CorroNexus works: the CorroNexus Damage Mechanism Library (including all module content, SVG visualisations, decision trees, verification registers, and inspection-effectiveness matrices); the NH₄HS Corrosion Verdict engine (including its calibration coefficients, material-response tables, and assessment logic); the CorroNexus screening engines (including their decision logic, input taxonomies, and output-ranking schemes); all CorroNexus data-array structures that organise proprietary knowledge within the platform; and all CorroNexus report templates, PDF layouts, and interactive visualisations.

Where published engineering standards (such as those of API, AMPP / NACE, ASME, ISO, and similar bodies) are referenced in tool development or site content, those references identify the methodological framework or published research relied on. Such references do not transfer any ownership interest in those standards to CorroNexus, and do not constitute a licensing, sublicensing, or certification relationship between CorroNexus and the standards body.

User inputs and outputs. Users retain ownership of the engineering data, assessment inputs, and operational information they submit into platform tools. CorroNexus processes such inputs only to compute requested outputs and for the purposes explicitly agreed in the engagement terms, and does not claim ownership of user inputs. CorroNexus will notuse user inputs to train, fine-tune, or otherwise adjust any artificial-intelligence model, screening-engine calibration, or published CorroNexus methodology without the user's prior express written consent. Inputs supplied to platform tools are retained only for the duration of the authenticated session unless the user explicitly saves them for later retrieval.

05Disclaimer of warranties

Content, tools, and platform capabilities on this website are offered "as is" and "as available". CorroNexus makes no warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — regarding the fitness of any tool output for any particular purpose, the completeness or accuracy of any screening-level indicator, the availability or performance of the platform, or the absence of errors in any content. In particular:

  • No warranty that a screening-level output is equivalent to a definitive engineering assessment.
  • No warranty that a decision tree, inspection-effectiveness matrix, verification register, or damage-mechanism walkthrough covers every condition that a given asset may present.
  • No warranty of fitness for any regulatory, certification, or compliance purpose.
  • No warranty of uninterrupted or error-free availability.
  • No warranty that the platform is free of vulnerabilities, malware, or third-party interference despite the commercially reasonable security measures applied.

All professional engineering decisions remain the responsibility of the qualified integrity engineer whose judgement applies to the asset.

06Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CorroNexus, its founder, and any personnel or contractors associated with the practice are not liablefor any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or the platform — including without limitation: loss of revenue, loss of profit, or loss of business; loss of production, throughput, or process availability; business interruption, loss of contracts, or loss of goodwill; loss, corruption, or unauthorised disclosure of data; reputational harm; downstream engineering decisions or inspection-programme outcomes; damage to assets, equipment, personnel, or third-party property; or any claim by any third party against the user arising from the user's use of platform outputs.

For users who have paid CorroNexus fees in respect of platform access or engineering services, and where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, the total cumulative liability of CorroNexus in connection with this website or the platform is limited to the fees actually paid by the affected user to CorroNexus in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

For users who have not paid CorroNexus any fees — including users accessing any gated content on a complimentary, trial, evaluation, or pre-commercial-launch basis — the total cumulative liability of CorroNexus is, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, limited to zero.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

07Indemnity

Each user of the platform agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CorroNexus, its founder, and any personnel or contractors associated with the practice against any claim, loss, damage, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) the user's breach of these terms, (b) the user's misuse of any tool output, (c) any decision made by the user or by any third party on the basis of a tool output without the independent professional judgement that the output is explicitly stated to require, (d) the user's violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right in connection with use of the platform, or (e) the user's sharing, redistribution, or republication of CorroNexus proprietary content in breach of Section 03 or Section 04.

08Third-party content and links

This website may reference published standards, research papers, and engineering publications for methodological context. Such references are informational; they do not imply affiliation, endorsement, or licensing. Any links to external sites are provided for convenience, and CorroNexus accepts no responsibility for the content, availability, accuracy, or practices of those external sites.

09Changes to these terms

CorroNexus may revise these terms of use from time to time. Material revisions are indicated by an updated date at the top of this page and a version number. Continued use of the website or the platform after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For a substantial change to the liability regime, the acceptable-use rules, or the IP allocation, CorroNexus will use reasonable efforts to notify authenticated platform users by email before the change takes effect.

10Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms — where not resolved informally between the parties within thirty days of written notice — is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt, save that CorroNexus reserves the right to bring proceedings in the jurisdiction in which a user's breach has occurred or in which enforcement of a remedy is sought.

For commercial engagements entered into under a separate signed engagement agreement, the dispute-resolution terms of that engagement agreement prevail over this section.

11Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall, where possible, be construed or modified to the minimum extent necessary to render it enforceable while preserving the parties' original intent.

12Entire agreement

These terms of use, together with the Privacy Notice, any separately signed engagement agreement, and any written notices provided to authenticated users, constitute the entire agreement between the user and CorroNexus in respect of the website and platform, and supersede any prior understandings or representations on the same subject matter.

13Export control, sanctions, and trade compliance

The CorroNexus website and platform provide engineering content relating to the oil and gas industry. Users represent and warrant that their use of the platform is lawful in the user's jurisdiction and that the user is not:

  • A resident of, or acting on behalf of any entity located in, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United Nations Security Council.
  • Listed on any applicable consolidated sanctions list (including but not limited to the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list, the EU Consolidated Financial Sanctions list, or the UK OFSI Consolidated List).
  • Using the platform for any purpose prohibited by applicable export-control law, including the provision of technical assistance to any sanctioned end user or end use.

CorroNexus reserves the right to refuse or terminate access where continued service would put CorroNexus, its personnel, or its counterparties at risk of breach of any applicable sanctions or export-control regime.

14Children and minors

The CorroNexus website and engineering platform are directed at qualified engineering professionals and are not intended for, targeted to, or suitable for persons under the age of 18. CorroNexus does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Any personal data identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted promptly on discovery or on notification.
